What a wonderful way to go down memory lane. More later. Well, two years later...getting back to this blog...and have many more scrapbooks under my belt. I have especially enjoyed my store's retreats and marathon weekends. It is a fabulous way to spend time with friends and immersing completely into creativity. I'm always learning new things.
Starting in March 2007, a friend got me into scrapbooking. I decided to start with my family history and I had a few photos in which to do so. I called my 92-year old grandmother to ask some questions and my small project took off. Gammy had lots of photos to share and stories to tell and the more she talked the more she remembered. Her clues led me to a research project that has led me down a long winding path through history to several branches of my family in Colonial America. It has been a thrill and I am so gratefull to those I've met along the way who were willing and happy to share their research, which provided many wonderful historical surprises about my own family. The result was a fantastic looking scrapbook and several documents with photos illustrating them for the next generation in my family to enjoy.
